FAQs

How do I book a session?

You can click on the 'Contact' page to view my contact details and send me a message. Alternatively, you can see my availability and book an initial consultation through Calendly.

Do I have to have an initial consultation?

Initial consultations are required so that we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, what you hope to gain from sessions, get a feel for me as a person and how I work and ask me any questions you may have. This initial conversation can be as little as a few minutes but 15 minutes are allocated. There is no pressure to book a counselling session with me after our consultation; it's important that you find a therapist that you feel is a good fit for you!

Can anyone have sessions with you?

Sessions are available for everyone regardless of demographic factors such as age, race or sexuality.

Should I feel for any reason that I'm not the right therapist for you, I will signpost you to other therapists I feel may be a better fit and help you to access the support you need.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no easy answer here. Usually, for more complex and longstanding issues, more sessions are required but the amount of sessions you feel you need is subjective and varies from person to person. It is important to consider your readiness for change, the time it takes to build trust in our relationship and affordability. Should I feel that your therapy goal has been met, I will raise this in our sessions and discuss endings with you.

What if I need to cancel a session?

I require 24 hours notice to cancel or move a session. Without sufficient notice, the full session fee will be charged.

How do I pay?

I accept payments via bank transfer 24 hours before the session time in order to secure your appointment. Text reminders are sent out when payments are due. Please click the 'Pricing' tab to see my rates.
